Why we made a site about one appointment, who we are, and how the guides are written.
Why a whole site about one appointment?
Because the consultation is where most of the important decisions start, and it's easy to walk out of one with more new words than answers. People tell dentists all the time that they didn't know what to ask, or only thought of the real question in the car on the way home.
ImplantConsultation.ca tries to fix that. It explains what happens at an implant consultation, what the dentist is looking for, what the stages of treatment usually look like, and how to prepare. It's meant to be useful whichever dentist you end up seeing.
Who publishes this site
ImplantConsultation.ca is published by Smile Studio Dental, a dental office at 8500 Leslie St, Suite 220, in Markham, where Dr. Muhammad Bilal Paracha practises as a general dentist.
Because the publisher is a dental practice, it has an interest in readers choosing it for care, and we would rather say that plainly. The guides describe how consultations generally work, not how one office does things, and the questions they suggest are worth asking any dentist, including us.
How the guides are written
- Plain language first. Technical terms are explained the first time they appear.
- Sourced. Clinical and numerical statements are checked against peer-reviewed research and the guidance of official bodies, and each guide lists its sources.
- Balanced. Risks, limits and alternatives sit next to the benefits.
- No hype. No discounts, time-limited offers, testimonials or promised results.
- Dated. Each guide shows when it was last updated.
About the illustrations
The pictures on this site are illustrations created for education with the help of AI image tools, then reviewed before use. They don't show real patients, real staff or the Smile Studio Dental office, and they're not clinical images.
